Getting ready to die, as a short story

just this: no better way to prepare for meeting death than by getting old. People, places,
customs, slip away like little stars at the edge of galaxies. you may haVE TO WALK SLOW, WITH A CANE, AND USE GLASSES, ASK PEOPLE TO SPEAK UP. well, what do you think its going to be like after you've met?

if you get tired, just try to remember, the better prepared you are the easier the change will be.
